SMRpodcast episode #299 is online and ready for download. Â Rod is out sick this week, but, Terrance Gaines, a.k.a., BrothaTech cops the mic to talk tech with Chris and Robb.
There wasn't any big news this week, but, we definitely cover a lot of tech topics as well as a few topics not so related to tech like the NBA PlayOffs.
Native WhatsApp Messenger clients come to Windows 8 and higher and to Mac OS. Â Like the web client released last year, the dedicated apps still rely heavily on your phone being present.
Microsoft reminds Windows 7 and 8 users that the free upgrade to Windows 10 is coming to an end after 1 year. Â Robb doesn't think it would be terrible if MS extended support until the end of support for each platform but recognizes that it is kind of silly for people to get upset for Microsoft actually doing what they said they would do.
Public WiFi will soon become a thing in Germany, Google will stop displaying ads for Pay Day lenders, Microsoft is removing WiFi credential sharing in Windows 10, and the next iPhone may not have a head phone jack.  We've got all this, our picks, and more in episode #299 of the SMRpodcast.
