Episode #182 of the SMRpodcast has been recorded, is online, and ready for download. Â This episode Mr. Rod Simmons returns from his solid month on the road.
There wasn't a lot of tech news over the last 7 days. Â BlackBerry, in it seemingly never ending litany of bad news, reports a $965 million dollar loss and a 45% sales decline primarily due to lack of interest in the companies new flagship like of BlackBerry 10 devices.
Windows Phone, on the other hand, is reported to have nearly reached double digit market share in Europe. Â Microsoft has also announced that Delta Airlines have ordered 11000 Surface 2 Tablets for pilots.
Freedom Pop is offering a $99 Android Smartphone with a free 500 MB data, 500 text message, and 200 minute voice plan. Â The hardware, however, is over 2 years old and runs Android Gingerbread 2.3, so the big question is if consumers will pick the device up.
YouTube is hosting it's own Music Awards Show, Robb rants about smartphone activation fees, and Comcast is charging Rod $249 to install a service he already has. Â We've got all this, our picks, and more in episode #182 of the SMRpodcast.
