SMRPodcast #174: Selectively Cheap

SMRPodcast #174 has been recorded, is online, and ready for download.  It was a pretty slow week, but, Rod, Robb, and, Chris manage to find little bit of mobile tech to discuss.

The biggest news of the week was the release of the Moto X line of smartphones which hit all carriers simultaneously.  The really cool customization options, however, are initially exclusive to AT&T.

Microsoft has agreed, after losing a trademark infringement case, to change the name of SkyDrive in the UK because SkyNews, a media company, believes customers get confused because of the similarity of names…

Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, has bought the Washington Post for $250 million.  It will be very interesting to see how Bezos moves this print based media company into a digital world…

Skype still sucks on Windows Phone, Bing News gets a Windows Phone update, and, BlackBerry market share drops to just 1.1% in the U.S.  We've got all this, plus, our picks in episode #174 of the SMRPodcast…
