SMRpodcast #269: Haters Gone Hate

Episode #269 of the SMRpodcast is online and ready for download.  We've got a full crew week as we cover a few takeaways from the Apple announcement, but, we start of the show with Chris's frustration with his bank.

The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, with the exception of a greatly improved camera which captures 4K video, received mostly software updates.  Siri has been significantly improved and is now on par with Cortana and Google Now.  You can now long press for different context menus in iOS similarly to what you can do in Android and iOS.

Apple also announce a new iPad Pro which is much bigger than an iPad, supports a magnetic keyboard similar to the Microsoft Surface, and has a $179 stylus as an accessory.  Robb and Rod both believe that we will eventually see a merging of the iPad Pro and Macbook.

There seems to be more “fake outrage” when it comes to Microsoft than usual.  More than a few tech blogs are concerned that Microsoft tracks children when you create child accounts so that you can “track what your children do while online.”  Many are also upset that when you search for alternative web browsers in Bing, Microsoft displays banners about Microsoft Edge at the top of the page even if you didn't search for Microsoft Edge, a practice more commonly referred to as advertising.

Destiny 2:  The Taken King launches next week, iOS now supports animated gif like pictures, The Galaxy Note 5 is ridiculously hard to get in white, and, Nordstrom is pretty horrible at shipping.  We've got all this, our picks, and more in episode #269 of the SMRpodcast.
